Wilson Media was established in 2001 by Robert Wilson to represent writers and their written works to book publishers and other media, and to negotiate deals on their behalf. The agency represents clients whose collective works span a range of genres and subjects, including sports, history, biography, politics, current affairs, business, personal finance, pop culture, and memoir.

For 2012, Wilson Media has expanded into juvenile fiction. Elizabeth Barkley has joined the agency as an associate. A summa cum laude graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where she majored in English, Liz will handle juvenile fiction exclusively for the agency.

Wilson Media clients include the dean of American sports writers, Roger Kahn; Pulitzer Prize winning journalist Sydney Schanberg;  New York Times business editor Brent Bowers; baseball Hall of Fame inductee and bestselling author Bill Madden; the award-winning journalist Mary Beth PfeifferMSNBC.com careers columnist Eve Tahmincioglu; and a number of clients from the world of sports,  including Don Zimmer, Bud Harrelsonand "Coach P," Joanne P. McCallie. For a full list of clients  represented by Wilson Media, see Clients.

A number of new titles are scheduled to be published in 2012. Joanne P. McCallie's Choice Not Chance will be published by John Wiley & Sons in March. McCallie is the head women's basketball coach at Duke University. Bud Harrelson's memoir, Turning Two, will be published by St. Martin's Press. Harrelson is the only man to have been in uniform for both of the New York Mets' championship seasons--the focus of his book. Triumph Books will publish Pirate for Life, a memoir by former Pittsburgh Pirates All-Star pitcher and World Series hero Steve Blass. The official pub date for David Davis' Showdown at Shepherd's Bush, the story of the legendary marathon race at the 1908 games in London, will coincide with the 2012 Olympic Summer Games in London.

Marty Appel's new book is destined to be one of this year's top sports titles. Pinstripe Empire is the first pure narrative history of the New York Yankees to be released in more than 50 years. The publisher is Bloomsbury Press.

Later in 2012, as the presidential campaign shifts into higher gear, look for Richard E. Dauch's Detroit at the Crossroads. Mr. Dauch, chairman and CEO of American Axle & Manufacturing, was instrumental in helping Lee Iacocca turn Chrysler around in the 1980's. His new book is the story of how he transformed five crumbling inner city plants into a global profitable enterprise, rebuilt ravaged Detroit neighborhoods, successfully negotiated with difficult labor unions, and survived the 2009 economic crisis. The book will feature strong opinions on how to restore America's manufacturing and engineering base and create jobs for blue-collar workers. It is scheduled for publication by St. Martin's Press in the fall.
