Wilson Media was established in 2001 by Robert Wilson to represent writers and their written works to book publishers and other media, and to negotiate deals on their behalf. The agency represents authors whose collective works span a range of subjects and categories, including sports, history, biography, politics, current affairs, business, popular culture, and narrative.

For 2012, Wilson Media has expanded into young adult fiction. Elizabeth Barkley has joined the agency as an associate. A summa cum laude graduate of the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where she majored in English, Liz will handle YA fiction exclusively for the agency.

Wilson Media clients include the dean of American sports writers, Roger Kahn; Pulitzer Prize winning journalist Sydney Schanberg;  New York Times business editor Brent Bowers; baseball Hall of Fame inductee and bestselling author Bill Madden; award-winning investigative journalist Mary Beth Pfeiffer and a number of figures from the world of sports, including Don Zimmer, Bud Harrelson, Ron Blomberg, Steve Blass and Joanne P. McCallie. For a full list of clients represented by Wilson Media, see Clients.

In April, Triumph Books will publish Pirate for Life, a memoir by former Pittsburgh Pirates All-Star pitcher and World Series hero Steve BlassShowdown at Shepherd's Bush by David Davis will be published in conjunction with this year's Summer Olympic Games in London. The book tells the story of the marathon at the 1908 Olympics in London, the race often credited with saving the modern games.

Marty Appel's Pinstripe Empire is the first pure narrative history of the New York Yankees in more than 50 years--and destined to be one of the top baseball books of 2012. Bloomsbury Press is scheduled to publish the book in early April.

In the fall, St. Martin's Press will publish Richard E. Dauch's Detroit at the Crossroads. Mr. Dauch, chairman and CEO of American Axle & Manufacturing, was instrumental in helping Lee Iacocca turn Chrysler around in the 1980's. His new book is the story of how he transformed five crumbling inner city plants into a global profitable enterprise, rebuilt ravaged Detroit neighborhoods, successfully negotiated with difficult labor unions, and survived the 2009 economic crisis. The book will feature strong opinions on how to restore America's manufacturing and engineering base and create jobs for blue-collar workers.
